This pattern was inspired by Virginia Lacey Jones, American Librarian. It’s part of my 2022 project, “Above and Beyond - A Celebration of Women in History through Print and Pattern”.

This waxed canvas water-resistant tote bag can be used as an everyday purse, gym bag, knitting or crochet project bag.

Features:
- Unique screen printed fabric panels on both sides
- Three exterior pockets for phone, keys, etc., including one snap closure pocket on the backside
- Two interior flat pockets
- Leather straps with 10” drop
- Durable construction, built to last

I created the bag design, designed the front panel fabric, screen printed the fabric panel and then sewed it all together with care.

Because this item is handmade, the print / pattern may vary.

Care instructions: Spot clean only. Waxed canvas may feel slightly tacky at first, but the wax will wear into the fabric, which creates a rugged appearance; perfect for the rainy Pacific Northwest.

Absolutely love this style for a work tote bag! Plenty of room, but enough structure to make seeing the contents easy. I love the fold over closure for bad weather/ security. The pockets are well sized without being too deep or floppy. The leather straps are quality leather, wide enough to not dig into your shoulder, and securely fastened to take a heavy load without fear of tearing seams or rivets. I bought this for a winter trip to Scotland, but am delighted to use it as my work tote, too. Much more organized than my backpack (I don't need a laptop sleeve, built-in organizer panel, etc.), and infinitely more beautiful! The large outer snap pocket will secure my tablet. The other slip pockets are perfect for keys, wallet, phone, sunglasses, lip balm, hand sanitizer, etc. No more digging through the bottom of the bag.

Love Heidi's bags. The quality is always amazing and shipping is quick. Repeat customer for life.

Love it! I have been on the lookout for a sweater project bag for a while now, and this one is perfect. The owl and oak pattern is beautiful!
